Retro 1% Payments clarification

Anyone who is on maternity leave will receive their retro pay upon return to work, this is to ensure there isn’t any interference with maternity benefits being paid. April 1st, which will include 1% for the 19/20 school year and the 1% for the 20/21 school year April 16th will be the second 1% for the 20/21 school year HR misread the information provided by payroll and provided incorrect information to us. but you will still receive a payment on the 16th. It's a bit confusing so feel free to call me.

Joint Affiliate and Education Partners' Press Conference re: government's move to make Virtual Learning permanent - April 1, 2021

The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) will host a virtual press conference on Thursday, April 1, 2021, to share its concerns about the Ford government’s plan to make virtual (remote) learning permanent. ETFO President Sam Hammond will be joined by presidents of Ontario unions representing education workers, and other education stakeholders, including several parent advocacy groups.
