PD Day November 26, 2021

***This PD Information is for Educational Assistants and SPA's only. Union PD for Early Childhood Educators will be offered later in the school year.

Our November 26, 2021, PD Day is fast approaching! This day has been scheduled as a two-part virtual Union PD event!

  • You will need to register for the morning session and the afternoon session separately (This is important as the participant lists and login information will be used for attendance confirmation and payroll)

  • This information will also be sent to your board email

  • you will need a computer to participate

  • You may choose to attend remotely or attend your worksite if you require technology (a computer) or wifi access

  • You may use either a board or personal email to register

  • Your log information for each session will only allow a single device and is specific to you

  • Please complete the attached google form to select a book from our PD list. This book will be yours to keep.

LTO EAs:

I am in a temporary long-term assignment, do I attend the PD Day event?

A casual employee employed for more than four (4) continuous months in the same position shall:

(a) be entitled to participate in the Board-wide PD Day and will be paid as though it was the employee’s regular workday if the day is a scheduled workday for the employee;

  • Review the collective agreement (found on UG Share) Section L- Appendix B-Casual Employees for further information

  • If you were in a long-term assignment (excluding summer break) (ie: April, May, June, September) you may attend the PD Day and will be compensated for the day.

  • If you are not eligible to be paid and still want to participate please feel free to register
