Call for Committees


EA or ECE Committee: These groups are a great way to get involved with OSSTF without having to make a huge commitment. Each committee has 10 members and meets 4 times a school year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all meetings will take place in a virtual setting until further notice.  Our EA and ECE committees meet and organizes events like the Gala, Support Staff Appreciation day, ECE Appreciation day, member engagement activities as well as discuss current issues for each workgroup and ways to improve working conditions.  Workplace Violence Prevention Committee: We are currently looking for 10 members for this committee. Meetings for this committee will be held 4 times a year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all meetings will take place in a virtual setting until further notice. This committee looks at initiatives that can help make our workplaces safer for all of us.  Interested Members are asked to send a maximum one-page letter indicating their interest and experience they feel they can bring to the committee. Members must be able to commit to the four meetings. Each committee must have at least 5 members to run. Applications should be submitted no later than 4:00 pm on October 19th, 2020 to the attention of Cheryl Lampkin (cheryl.lampkin@d18.osstf.ca)
